Denver Swainson is a native of central Alberta and has been playing guitar since he was just a boy of 12 years. Beyond his artistic ability, Denver is a journeyman electrician, outdoorsman and motorcycle enthusiast. Denver is a twice self-taught musician; he learned the first time without formal training and then again when he removed the better part of two fingers from his fretting hand in 2004. Denver recently announced his engagement to rhythm guitarist Sara Page who has been at his side for more than eight years.
Joe Miller is a well-known humanitarian in Red Deer, Alberta and music has always been a key element in his life. Classically trained in piano and having mentored under Welsh guitar virtuoso, Ian Stewart, Joe’s skills are well honed. He is currently working with bass guitar expert, Curtis Phagoo, and brings a distinct flavor to the Frank’s offering. Joe’s hobbies include recording music, long walks on the beach, talking about his day and listening intently.
Sara Page comes from a musical background, as a child in Red Deer her mother would play classical guitar and her father is a black Irish bastard. Page, like Miller, received training from the Welsh legend, Ian Stewart, who happened to be a close friend to the Page family and gave guitar lessons to settle a dept. Sara is an avid reader and die hard Edmonton Oilers fan but finds little time for much else as she is continuing her post-secondary education via correspondence learning.
Will Gilgan has been with the Frank since the big bang and has had a keen interest in percussion from the age of 12. Will was very active in all music programs at Lindsay Thurber High School in Red Deer and studied under Gord Chaney of Calgary, Alberta. Will completed the fourth grade in the Royal Conservatory for percussion and mallet instruments, but decided to focus on kit drumming and abandoned further training. Will is happily married to his wife, Michelle, and very little is known about them. |
